Free to participate. No experience needed. Materials provided.
This project is designed to fit around your busy life. Artist Lois Blackburn will guide you in creating an eye embroidery. You’ll receive all the instructions, tips, and ideas you need. Beginners welcome.
Free Workshops:
Wednesday 6th November at 6.30-8.30pm at STEP at Trafford Parents Forum. 2 Ambassador Place, Stockport Road, Altrincham WA15 8DB.
On-line on Thursday 24th October 10-11am and 11th November 11- 12am. Please see below materials list for what to bring.
Your eye artwork will be carefully stitched together by Lois, along with pieces from around 100 other parents and carers across the UK, forming one large, embroidered quilt.
The quilt will tour in an exhibition, celebrating everyone’s artworks and raise awareness of non-visible disabilities and their impact on families.

I SEE You Material list for workshops:
On-line Workshop 24th October 10-11am
An assortment of drawing materials: scrap paper, pencils, pens, rubber, paper scissors
Optional extras: Glue stick, black, or grey scrap paper or card, string, shiny things… anything material you like to be creative with
Black, white or grey fabric and threads. Your background material needs to measure 24cm x 15cm
Scissors, needles, pins
Drawing materials
Optional extras: trimming, sequins, in black, grey or white
On-line Workshop 11th November 11am- 12
