Caroline Woodhead

Caroline Woodhead is a parent of two children and parent carer to her son who was diagnosed in 2015 with ASD and has additional needs with sensory processing, demand avoidance, anxiety and hypervigilance and is almost 13 years old. 

After reaching out to the forum in 2014 for some advice and support at the beginning of her SEND journey, Caroline became a member of the forum steering group following diagnosis of her son in 2015 to help other parent carers and offer support in strategic participation with Trafford LA and other key stakeholders with the aim to improve and shape services for children and young people with SEND. 

Caroline has a degree in Business Administration and Law and has had a successful carer within commercial contracts and in 2012 became Commercial Director for a renewable energy company and assisted in the sale and acquisition of the company by Centrica in 2017.  Caroline became a director of the forum in 2017 when she gave up her legal carer to focus on supporting and advocating for her son.
