Sonia McDonagh

Sonia McDonagh is our Communication and Membership Administrator.

Sonia has two children, 9 year old son and 9 month old daughter.  She is parent carer to her eldest son who has complex medical needs and attends a specialist school. Her youngest daughter doesn’t have any SEND needs.

Sonia began her TPF journey in 2019 as a volunteer, and joined the team officially in January 2020. Sonia is a qualified Legal Executive specialising in conveyancing, however had a career break after her eldest son became poorly after birth in 2013.  She has welcomed the return to work and loves being part of the TPF team and being able to apply her experience in the SEND world to her work.

Sonia has been her son’s advocate in their SEND journey, ensuring he gets all the help he can to progress in all areas of his life: from learning and teaching him sign language to attending lots of parenting courses like Riding the Rapids.
